Entertaining Games for Linux

Monday, December 13, 7-9 pm

Application software is clearly the force which drives the success of an operating system. Entertainment and games are a big market and one which the UNIX world has not participated in fully in the past. Now a local company, Loki Entertainment Software, is helping to change that by porting popular game software to Linux.

At the UUASC December meeting, you can meet some of those responsible for what the marketing folks call, "the hottest Linux games on the market!" Programmers from Loki Entertainment Software will demo the latest games and discuss the challenges they faced in porting these titles. Bring your technical questions and suggestions. President Scott Draeker will also be on hand to answer any of your business questions.
