The September meeting of UUASC-OC will feature a presentation by UUASC member David Oswald on dotCloud.

David will be speaking specifically about deploying Perl applications to dotCloud. This discussion starts with the basics of what a PaaS is, walks through dotCloud's key features and pricing options, explains the important details of stack configuration (including a database service), and ends with a live demonstration of a deployment.

Although David's examples will be in Perl, the principles involved are equally applicable to your favorite scripting language: Ruby, Python, etc.
