Todd has provided a copy of his slides.
This month's UUASC-OC meeting features a presentation by Todd Jackson. Todd's presentation will discuss the OpenStack cloud manager project.
OpenStack can be used to implement "private cloud" environments inside of your organization, and it is intended to be scalable to service provider environments. The Eucalyptus and OpenNebula systems provide similar services to OpenStack, and Todd will compare the features of these three projects.
OpenStack uses the Amazon EC2 / S3 cloud as its inspiration and architectural template, so anyone who has used Amazon's service will feel (mostly) at home with OpenStack.
This talk will cover the history of this project, architecture of the OpenStack system, and Todd's experiences installing this product.
Todd is the Senior Systems Engineer at M86 Security where he is responsible for the hardware and operating system software platform used in M86 appliance products.
