DB2

Mark has made his slides available, separately for DB2 version 8 and DB2 version 9.

Industry giant IBM is sending to us one its experts to teach us how a famous database from the mainframe world is making a stab into the UNIX and Linux markets.

At the May meeting of UUASC-OC, Mark Talens will introduce us to DB2 9. He will discuss the latest version's many new and improved features, including: XML, table partitioning, compression, self-tuning memory manager, automatic storage, label-based access control, autonomics, performance, security, scalability, application development, ease of management, and availability.

Mark is an IBM Certified Consulting I/T Specialist who has worked for IBM for nine years and with DB2 for 17.
