Teaching Enterprise Open Source

Monday, January 8, 7-9 pm

Darnell has made his slides available.

A university lecturer will share with us how he teaches his students to learn popular open source products such as Geronimo, OpenSolaris, and Asterisk for use in the work environment.

At the January meeting of UUASC-OC, Darnell Gadberry of UCSD will outline a ten-week course designed to teach the fundamentals of J2EE application development, Solaris containers, and VoIP integration. He will present exercises, sample code, and a web site that attendees can visit to download problem sets.

Darnell teaches a course in the design and development of enterprise class web applications at the University of California, San Diego, where he is a member of the Computer Science Department. In addition, he is the CIO of YG Laboratories.
