A senior Java expert will introduce us to an open-source entertainment system that is similar to Tivo and MS Media Center.

At the December meeting of UUASC-OC, Andreas Schaefer of Madplanet.com will demonstrate some of MythTV's features such as playing recorded TV shows without their commercials. He will even show us how to install and configure TV tuner cards and remote controls.

Andreas wrote many articles on OnJava.com about JBoss, Classloading, and Maven. He is a former JBoss and XDoclet contributor, and led the SeeBeyond's (now acquired by Sun) own application server.
