SuSE Linux - The Best Linux Yet?
Monday, August 11, 7-9 pm
What makes one linux distribution better than another?
Certainly this is a subjective judgment, based on individual preferences.
But consider the following:
- IBM will be using SuSE Linux Enterprise Server for the most
powerful linux supercomputer in the world, now being built for
Japan's largest national research organization.
- Sun Microsystems just announced they will distribute and support
SuSE Linux Enterprise Server on Sun's x86 systems.
- The city of Munich, Germany is replacing Windows with Linux on all
14,000+ desktop and laptop computers in city government.
SuSE and IBM were the only vendors chosen to bid on the contract.
So what makes SuSE so good?
Come to Orange County and find out!
Member Ralf Pieper,
who has taught linux for Intratek Computer, will be
showing us why he thinks SuSE is the best.
According to Ralf,
SuSE has the most complete distribution and the best desktop tools.
He will be bringing a system with the latest distro installed,
and demonstrating the power and functionality available to those who
want the best.
