NAME

       A-V connection - How to connect the projector at Sun's
       Orange County office

DESCRIPTION

       * Turn projector power on.

       * Set the small Extron video switch in podium for 'Sun',
         not 'Laptop'.

       * Set projector input. You can do this with either the
         Proxima remote control, or the LCD touch screen control
         on the podium.

         Proxima remote
                The projector input is labelled computer 1.

         LCD touch screen
                The projector input is labelled front computer.
                If the LCD isn't working, it may be turned off in
                the AV closet at the back of the room. Make sure
                that the LCD remote control box is turned on in
                the small rack in this room if the LCD does not
                light up when you touch it. Nothing will work if
                this is off. If you can't figure out which box in
                the rack is the LCD remote box, just be sure that
                everything is turned on.

       * There are 3 cables that come out of a hole drilled in
         the bottom of the podium. One goes to video connection
         on the wall, one is for power, and one is a video cable
         that may or may not be connected to the Sun Ray box.
         Connect this last cable to the laptop for the presenta-
         tion.

       * The other video cable may be the one that works when the
         Extron switch is set to 'laptop', but I didn't test
         this.

AUTHORS

       Todd Jackson collected the information and  wrote  it  up;
       some silly person saw it referred to as a 'man page' and
       converted it to man(7) format.

BUGS

       It's really pretty simple if you don't assume that you
       should set the switch to 'laptop' to use a laptop.

       Don't connect anything to the silver outlet plate on the
       top of the podium. It's a decoy.
